In 1971, a business-savvy entrepreneur saw the
need for a good Harley® parts distributor in the New England area. He
started NEMPCO (New England Motor Parts Company). With ten years of growth
and success behind him, he brought on a veteran partner to focus on
performance and replacement parts.
In 1984, to further define the company's
position in the market, they began calling the company "Nempco – The Biker's
Choice.” Nempco –The Biker's Choice caught the eye of Tucker Rocky, one of
the largest distributors of motorcycle parts, and in 1992, they jumped into
the Harley accessories market by purchasing Nempco. This gave Nempco the
strength of a nationwide sales and distribution system and with it, the
ability to expand their product lines.
In late 1998, Nempco changed its name
more directly to Biker's Choice – a name that reflects what the company is
all about. Today, Biker's Choice is one of the most dynamic brand names with
the highest-profile catalog in the industry. Unlike some companies in the
industry, Biker's Choice is run by dedicated, life-long bikers who
understand the American motorcyclist.
